Peninsula PID:
The purpose of the Peninsula PID is to enhance the maintenance of public property beyond the level normally provided by the City. The PID provides maintenance and improvements to the existing irrigation systems, fencing, and landscaping and is responsible for maintaining our ponds and fountains.

Surrounding Points of Interest
Joe Pool Lake is surrounded by several state parks. Lynn Park has a boat ramp, cabins, camping areas, and a large beach/picnic area. It is located just south of Broad, on Lakeridge Parkway. The turn in is just before the Oasis boat dock/restaurant/bar. There is also a park, boat dock/general store on the Cedar Hill side of the lake. South on Day Miar will take you to Park where another boat ramp is located. Highway 360 has markers for Park.
Mansfield is just west of Mira Lagos. In fact, Day Miar, the street bordering the west side of Mira Lagos separates Grand Prairie and Mansfield. The schools attended by the children living in Mira Lagos are within the Mansfield School District. If you cross the bridge on the south of the peninsula, and pass the picturesque Tanglewoods area, you are soon in Cedar Hill. If you cross the bridge to the north of the peninsula, you will be in Grand Prairie, which can also be accessed by using Hwy.360. Highway 360 also gives quick access to Arlington.
Mansfield Golf Course
Just south of Mira Lagos, off Hwy 360, is the 18th hole Mansfield Golf Course. The rolling 225 acre site features 419 bermuda fairways and tiff dwarf bermuda greens. From the back tees, the course plays at 6,850 yards, and from the forward tees, it plays at 5,263 yards.
Tangleridge Golf Course
To the east, you can take Lakeridge south, across the southern bridge and check out Tangleridge Golf Course. Tangleridge, in Grand Prairie, has 18 holes, featuring exciting elevation changes, subtle Crenshaw Bentgrass greens, tree-lined fairways, and water and sand hazards. The course yardage is 6,835 yards.
Northeast
Northeast, in Grand Prairie, is one of the most popular courses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Prairie Lakes Golf Course. It is a 27 hole golf course with each nine holes containing its very own distinct characteristics. The course yardage is 6,350. Prairie Lakes has expanded the practice area, adding a large practice green and a driving range with 8 target greens and a practice fairway running down the center of the range.
Movie Theaters
There are numerous movie theaters located in Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Cedar Hill, and several surrounding towns with a large selection of films. Nokia Theater, in Grand Prairie, has numerous entertainment venues. Dallas and Fort Worth also offer top rate entertainment.
Professional Sports
The Texas Rangers play baseball right up north on Hwy 360, in Arlington. The Dallas Cowboys have their football stadium near the New covered roof Texas Ranger Stadium in Arlington. The Dallas Stars play hockey in the American Airlines arena. The Dallas Mavericks also play basketball in the American Airlines arena, in Dallas. Lone Star Raceway features live horseracing several months out of the year and off track betting year round in North Grand Prairie.

Shopping abounds in Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Cedar Hill, Arlington, and strip malls are building up all the time.
